We believe students best grow in faith when parents and the church work together to walk beside students on their journey of faith. Discipleship and growth happens not only in the church but also in the home.

I am Aaron Carpenter, married to Amanda Carpenter, who is also a United Methodist pastor. We have three children, a son, two daughters and five grandchildren. I am originally from Baton Rouge. I attended LSU before volunteering for the United States Marines and served four years in the Marines and was honorably discharged. I have worked for Louisiana Public Safety Police and the United States Border Patrol. I retired from Lafayette City Police Department spending the last eleven years in the K9 section.
My first appointment was associate pastor and youth director at Northwood United Methodist in Lafayette until I was asked to take over Rosedale and New Roads UMC. I pastored both churches for three years while still working full time with Lafayette City Police. I have served at Patterson UMC and Olla and Urania UMC before moving to Rayville.
I enjoy spending time with my family – especially my grandkids. Amanda and I have been camping since we have been married and have camped all over Arkansas, Tennessee, and parts of Oklahoma, Florida, Arizona and New Mexico.
Please join us at Rayville Methodist and come to know the love God has for us.
